A beautiful, expansive practice!

I am so grateful that Micaela has brought this lovely practice of vocal yoga to a larger audience! I have been a vocalist for 25 years, and a yogi for 15, and have (other than "Om") not vocalized while doing yoga! I found it to be both a wonderful embodiment practice for my mind/body as well as a strengthening practice for my vocal technique. I loved that the course was segmented into smaller modules to allow me to easily revisit favorite techniques. I feel inspired to continue combining vocal practice and yoga with this course, as well as to create my own unique expressions of vocal yoga! As an enthusiastic but shy singer, I am eager to befriend my voice despite the vulnerability that arises. I’m so grateful to Micaela for her vast knowledge about singing and movement and for her ability to share her understanding in clear and accessible ways. This vocal yoga practice helped release a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck, which helped me sense into the muscles around my vocal cords in a new way. What a sweet experience to combine sun salutations with singing! I felt connected to new parts of myself by approaching singing in this guided, playful way.
